What is OJT? |
| A |
On-the-Job Training (OJT) is your commitment to provide your apprentices with practical experience in electrical work. Each month, during the 4 year apprenticeship, students will fill out an OJT sheet. The OJT sheet has several work categories. Your apprentice will document the number of hours worked every day, broken down by category.
They won?t work in each skill category every day. In fact, they may spend several months in one category before progressing to a new area.
It is important to be precise about hours allocated to each category. The FEAT staff will monitor hours worked in each category to verify our apprentices receive training in all areas.
