Apprentice wages are based on the current average Journeyman wage. Each August, a Journeyman wage survey is sent to FEAT Participating Employers. The results of this survey are compiled and the Journeyman wage becomes effective in December. Apprentices are paid a percentage of the Journeyman wage based on the number of OJT hours they have completed:
0000 - 1000 Hours 50%
1001 - 2000 Hours 55%
2001 - 3000 Hours 60%
3001 - 4000 Hours 65%
4001 - 5000 Hours 70%
5001 - 6000 Hours 75%
6001 - 7000 Hours 80%
7001 - 8000 Hours 90%
The Journeyman wage rate effective 1 December, 2007 is $18.16
